The premise of the first movie was deeply silly, really, and if you try to extend it to encompass more people and more places then it becomes a bit convoluted. That does not mean that the movie isn't fun. It is. The characters are engaging, the casting on point and the directing is great. It works despite of what it is and what it is trying to do. I like it.
